Louise Rive
(B.A., LL.B.)
Founder, Director, Attorney, FAMAC accredited Mediator & Parenting Co-Ordinator
Experience
Louise matriculated with distinction from Jan Van Riebeeck High in Gardens, Cape Town and holds the degrees B.A. (Law), LL.B. postgraduate from the University of Stellenbosch.
Louise is an admitted Legal Practitioner with Right of Appearance in the High Court of South Africa and holds in excess of 9 years’ post-admission experience and in excess of 11 years’ work experience within the legal fraternity. Louise is further a FAMAC accredited Mediator and Parenting Co-Ordinator.
Louise founded Rive & Associates in 2016 as a sole proprietorship and has laid the foundation for the firm to be incorporated into a company in 2020.
Louise is known by her clients as being experienced and driven to resolve matters in her clients’ best interests, in a professional manner with a personal touch.
Louise has further been invited by both RSG Radio and Bush Radio, to talk about Divorce and Family Law related matters.
Outside of her profession as a specialist family lawyer and mediator, Louise is a mother of a toddler and a great dane, who enjoys the outdoors, and she is also an avid international traveller, having travelled to 10 different countries.
Annerie Hattingh
(LL.B.)
Associate Legal Practitioner, Conveyancer and Notary Public
Experience
Annerie matriculated from HTS Drostdy in Worcester and holds an LL.B. degree from the University of South Africa, obtaining an average of 72% in her final year of studies.
Annerie completed her Vocational Training at a boutique Cape Town based law firm and she is currently practising as an admitted Legal Practitioner, Conveyancer and Notary Public.
Annerie joined Rive & Associates Inc. in 2023 and she is passionate about serving clients with professionalism and purpose.
Yamkela Mdemka
(LL.B.)
Vocational Trainee / Candidate Legal Practitioner
Experience
Yamkela holds an LL.B. degree from the University of South Africa.
Yamkela joined Rive & Associates Inc. in 2023 and is currently completing her practical training under the guidance and direction of the firm’s Director, Louise Rive as her registered Principal.
Yamkela is a driven individual who serves with professionalism and purpose.
Toni Hasenjager
(LL.B)
Candidate Legal Practitioner
Experience
Toni holds an LL.B. degree from the University of South Africa.
Toni joined Rive & Associates Inc. in 2024 and she is currently completing her practical vocational training under the guidance and direction of the firm’s Director, Louise Rive as her registered Principal.
Toni has long been interested in Family law and is very enthusiastic about her role. Her favourite part of working at Rive & Associates Inc. is working in a hardworking environment, surrounded by passionate professionals.
Outside of her profession as a Candidate Legal Practitioner, Toni enjoys cooking, crafting and gardening.
Leonore Reid
Receptionist & Legal Secretary
Experience
Leonore honed her strong administrative skills by working multiple years in the Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning, prior to relocating to Malawi where she engaged in a multitude of charitable work, before relocating back to her birth land, South Africa.
Leonore joined Rive & Associates Inc. in 2024 as Receptionist and Legal Secretary.
Outside of the work environment, Leonore is a mother of three who enjoys spending time with her children, as well as photography and baking.
Girschwon Titus
Office Manager & Accounts
Experience
Girschwon joined Rive & Associates in 2018 and serves as our Office Manager, he is also responsible for Accounts management, alongside the firm’s Accountant.
Having been part of team Rive Law in excess of 6 years, Girschwon is well-known at our Courts, amongst our clients and colleagues.
Outside of the work environment, Girschwon is a father and enjoys spending time with his child, golfing, and the outdoors.
