Family Law Attorney & FAMAC accredited Mediator / Parent Coordinator
Louise Rive practices as an Attorney with right of appearance in the High Court, as well as a FAMAC accredited Mediator and Parent Coordinator in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. Louise holds the degrees B.A. Law LL.B from the University of Stellenbosch, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Cape Town in association with the Legal Practice Council of South Africa. Prior to establishing her own practice, Louise was employed as a Legal Secretary, Candidate Attorney and Associate Attorney. Being employed in different roles at different firms, has equipped Louise with a vast amount of hands-on experience and a unique understanding of the law and related client-care. In 2016, Louise opened her own practice, focusing primarily on Divorce and Family Law related matters. Since 2016 to date, Louise has been involved in the pro-bono mediation project at Wynberg Children’s Court, which has equipped her with invaluable mediation experience. In 2017, Louise served on FAMAC’s executive committee and to date, she remains actively involved with this association. Jean-Claude du Toit
Jean-Claude practices as an Associate Attorney in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.
Jean-Claude holds an LL.B degree, obtained from the University of North-West and is currently completing his Master’s Degree in Commercial Law at the University of South Africa.
Prior to joining Rive & Associates, Jean-Claude was employed as a Candidate Attorney at a medium-sized law firm in Pretoria, where he was tasked with a broad range of Family Law, General Civil Litigation and Commercial Law matters.
